The Marcegaglia plant in San Giorgio di Nogaro (Udine) is dedicated to the manufacturing of heavy plates for applications in the building and infrastructure sector, as well as for the carpentry and machinery industry.

The complex spreads over a 105 thousand square metres surface, 33 thousand of which covered, including harbour docks alongside the river Corno.

Manufacturing center has recently seen major upgrades with the starting of a new reheating furnace for normalization treatments.

The plant is strategically located. indeed, the harbour docks along the river Corno allowing access for vessels of 5,000 average tonnage. Also there is an internal railway connection and easy access to the motorway.

The manufacturing unit is also served by the nearby harbour of Monfalcone (Gorizia) that can be accessed by larger size vessels.
